History
Early HistoryFounded in Australia in 2014 by self-proclaimed Irish/French hybrid Daragh Wickham, Astirian-Rae Games released a pair of archery arcade games on iOS, Defender of the Wood and Defender of the Oasis. Releasing a mobile arcade game with LucasArts style graphics was a super weird move but nevertheless they subsequently released a number of games on Google Play, deliberately keeping the scope small and learning a little more with each passing release.
After ThatThese days, all efforts are concentrated on an upcoming game for Steam, Dracula's Castle. This is the developer's first "proper" game, taking the craft learned on previous titles and increasing the scope for something a little more tangible and meaningful this time. The germ for the concept stems undoubtedly from one of Daragh's earliest memories; sitting on his father's lap in France in 1980-something, watching him play classic gems like Transylvania and Dark Castle and absorbing that shit like a sponge.
